Glaxo Smithkline merger

Glaxo Wellcome and Smithkline Beecham have announced a £114bn "merger of equals" to form a new company, Glaxo Smithkline. The merger, which is being opposed by MSF, has received a cool reaction from the stock market (p125). Comment (p117).

Phoenix expansion

Phoenix Medical Supplies wants to expand its United Kingdom operations and is looking for businesses to acquire (p126).
