Polio vaccine recall

The nationwide recall on October 20 of all Medeva's oral polio vaccine took place after it was discovered that the Medicines Control Agency had been misled about adherence to European guidelines on the use of bovine materials (p638).

RPM hearing

Half of Britain's smaller pharmacies could close if resale price maintenance on medicines is abolished, the Restrictive Practices Court has been told (p639).

Numark's OTC deliveries

Numark and Phoenix Medical Supplies are setting up a trading company to offer independent community pharmacies a weekly delivery of non-prescription medicines and other front-of-shop pharmacy goods (p645).
