Funding withdrawn

Pharmacy out-of-hours services that were to have run in parallel with a walk-in centre in Croydon have had their funding withdrawn by the National Health Service Executive, even though the funding had been approved in principle (p706).

Phenylpropanolamine and stroke

Phenylpropanolamine has been associated with an increased risk of stroke in the United States, but the relevance of the US findings to Britain is being questioned (p709).
