Zyban SPC changes

New safety precautions have been added to Zyban’s summary of product characteristics (p774 and p795).

Special general meeting
The special general meeting of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society on June 3 censured the Council over its handling of the process used in appointing the editor of The Pharmaceutical Journal. A motion of no confidence in the Council was defeated (p775). Leading article (p769).

Society’s Officers
At the Council meeting on June 6, Marshall Davies was elected President of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Dr Gillian Hawksworth Vice-President. David Allen was re-elected Treasurer (p796).

Numark/IPMI conference
The biennial conference of Numark and the Institute of Pharmacy Management International took place recently in Boston, United States. Report (pp792–793).
