With some pharmacists set to become supplementary prescribers this year,
our first special
feature of 2003 focuses on pharmacist prescribing.
It includes articles that discuss the training that pharmacists will
need to undertake as well as the legal implications of pharmacists prescribing.
It also includes articles that look at what can be learnt from nurses’ experiences
of prescribing and at progress with pharmacist prescribing in Scotland and Northern
Ireland. In addition, a news
feature reports on the
challenges to be faced in establishing training for pharmacists to become
supplementary prescribers
