An internet search engine called Medisearch which is claimed to locate only "authoritative" medical information has been launched by Mirago Medical Services Ltd.
Medisearch (www.medisearch.co.uk) is a free service available to the public and health professionals alike.
Mirago Medical Service's head (Dr Bruce Cawdron) told The Journal on September 13: "Medisearch cuts out the clutter. If we can get rid of that the internet becomes a very useful resource and tool for health professionals and the public." Dr Cawdron explained that Medisearch was not restricted to conventional medicine, but included alternative and complementary therapies where they were considered to be medically acceptable. For example, information was currently available on massage, but not on crystal therapy.
