Whitehall Laboratories has introduced Anadin Cold Control capsules and flu strength hot lemon powders. The capsules contain paracetamol 300mg, caffeine 25mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 5mg and are indicated for the relief of cold and flu symptoms. Adults may take one or two capsules every four to six hours, up to a maximum of four doses in 24 hours (net price, 16 capsules x 6 £9.92, retail price, £2.59. Each sachet of the flu strength hot lemon powders contains paracetamol 1g, phenylephrine hydrochloride 10mg and vitamin C 100mg. The product is indicated for the relief of sinus pain and congestion and the symptoms of cold and influenza, including headache, sore throat and feverishness. Adults and children over 12 years of age may take one sachet up to four times daily (maximum dose, four sachets in 24 hours) (net price, five sachets x 6 £9.77, retail price, £2.55).
