Evidence that the recently introduced green National Health Service prescription forms are causing skin reactions in pharmacists is being accumulated.
Mr Robert Dunkley (community pharmacist, Leeds), told The Journal on September 27 that he had received 18 reports of skin reactions from pharmacists.
"There seems to be a definite problem out there," Mr Dunkley said
We reported last week (p473) that Mr Dunkley, who has suffered localised dermatitis since the forms were introduced, wanted to hear from anyone else who had been affected. He now intends to contact the British Medical Journal to see whether any members of the medical profession who handle prescription forms are experiencing similar problems.
