Scottish community pharmacy contracts were transferred from health boards to primary care trusts on October 1, where trusts existed.
The National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services) (Scotland) Regulations 1995 have been amended to insert the phrase "or primary care NHS trust" after every occurrence of the word "board" to recognise the change.
At the same time, the title "chief administrative pharmaceutical officer" is removed from the Regulations and replaced with the phrase "most senior pharmaceutical adviser".
