THE Statutory Committee will meet at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1 7JN on Tuesday, October 19, at 11am, to hear (1) an inquiry into a company convicted of selling by way of wholesale dealing a prescription only medicine to another company whose wholesale dealing licence did not extend to dealing in prescription only medicines and also to consider a complaint by the Council of the Society against the superintendent pharmacist which includes allegations that the pharmacist failed to exercise his professional duties as superintendent pharmacist and (2) to consider an application for restoration from a person whose name was removed from the Register.
The Statutory Committee will further meet on Wednesday, October 20, at 10.15am, to consider (3) and (4) applications for restoration from persons whose names were removed from the Register and (5) to hear an inquiry into a pharmacist convicted under Section 1(1) of the Theft Act 1968 and (6) to review a case under the terms of a previous adjournment.
The Statutory Committee will further meet on Thursday, October 21, at 10.15am, to consider (7) a complaint from the Council of the Society against a pharmacist which includes an allegation that the pharmacist failed to have adequate control mechanisms to ensure that presciptions for patients in nursing homes which were served by the pharmacy were only requested from the surgery when required and were for appropriate quantities and dosages.
