Composition: Citalopram 44.48mg corresponding to citalopram base 40mg/ml.
Presentation: Oral drops.
Storage and stability: Store below 25C. A bottle may be used for 16 weeks after first use if stored below 25C in the dark.
Action: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
Indications: Treatment of depressive illness in the initial phase and as a maintenance against potential relapse or recurrence. Treatment of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.
Dosage and administration: The drops should be mixed with water, orange juice or apple juice (20mg=10 drops) and taken as a single dose, at any time of day, with or without meals. The dosage is the same as for Cipramil tablets. See SPC for specific details on dosages for treating depression and panic disorder.
