Numark has been testing a new fascia design to differentiate it from multiple groups and other independent pharmacies. The new fascia, in blue and green, does not use the word "pharmacy" or "chemist" but uses the term "Numark pharmacist" along with the owner's name rather than the company name.
A press release issued in association with the conference said that Numark pharmacists were enthusiastic about the design and that some fascias had already been installed.
Mr David Wood (Numark's marketing director) said: "Abandoning the traditional titles of ‘chemist' and ‘pharmacy' seemed at first to be a risk. But by positioning the pharmacist's name alongside ‘Numark' we have made the most of our key strength - the independent pharmacist owner."
