The photograph shows Dr John A. Hunt, FRPharmS, presenting a copy of his doctoral thesis to the President of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (Mrs Christine Glover) recently. The thesis was entitled "The development of pharmacy services in the British welfare state" and was undertaken as part of a doctor of philosophy degree at the University of Portsmouth. Dr Hunt is vice president of the British Society for the History of Pharmacy.
