SIR,—So, Losec capsules are not being discontinued after all, and are being sold alongside the MUPS tablets.
I had carefully communicated to my patients the reasons for which they would no longer receive their medicine in its usual form. In their eyes, I am now either a party to the crass incompetence and stupidity demonstrated by this company, or I have a separate dishonest agenda for spreading untrue information. Astra has a lot to answer for, and it can start by publishing a letter of apology. There is a need to remove the question mark against our integrity as pharmacists.
