YPG sets out conduct for executive committee

The Young Pharmacists Group is to adopt a code of conduct for members of its executive committee in the wake of internal rows which led to the resignation of its chairman last year (PJ, March 28, 1998, p439).
The draft code binds the committee to "present a united front when representing the YPG". Committee members should state YPG policy on matters which they are asked to discuss. If no policy had been decided, or if an article is being prepared for publication, then at least four members of the committee would have to be be consulted before an official view could be given.
The code of conduct has been drawn up by a working party chaired by Miss Christine Tobitt, a former chairman of the YPG. Details are contained in the autumn edition of YPG News which was sent to members this week.
