Dr Sheila Stevens, MRPharmS, has been appointed as one of a pool of experts to form part of an independent review panel for the advertising of medicines for human use. The three-member panel will consist of a legally qualified chairman, a lay member and a relevant expert chosen from the pool (see p774). She will serve until October 31, 2002. Dr Stevens is Secretary of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Scottish Department.
