Fresenius Kabi Ltd has launched Entera Fibre Plus tube feed, a 1.5kcal/ml high energy, low volume tube feed containing a mixed fibre blend - fermentable fibre (inulin and resistant starch) and non-fermentable fibre (oat grain). The company says that the product is suitable for long term feeding and offers significant benefits to the critically ill patient whose immune system is often severely impaired. It is ready to use in a 500ml bag (net price, £3.88) and a 1000ml bag (net price, £7.76).
