A new peer-reviewed internet website giving medical information is to be launched on November 29.
Healthinfocus (www.healthinfocus.co.uk) is intended to provide facts and advice on medical matters. All information on the site is to be written by general medical practitioners and will be further reviewed by an editorial board of GPs. Patient groups are being recruited to support the website.
Access is to be free of charge and no passwords will be needed, says Medicom UK Ltd, which is behind the site.
