PCPA and NHS Alliance associate

The Primary Care Pharmacist Association (PCPA) and the NHS Alliance have agreed a mutual affiliation in a move to strengthen the influence base of both organisations.
The PCPA has been established to support and represent pharmacists who work in primary care and add their weight to the alliance, which already represents a majority of primary care groups and has formed national partnerships with a wide range of organisations representing all disciplines in primary care. It is intended to develop a joint working arrangement and future conferences will reflect this.
Mr Duncan Petty (chairman, PCPA) told The Journal on November 24: "We are delighted to align with the NHS Alliance and derive the benefits of a wider focus for our members. We will be working on a number of joint initiatives together and associate membership of the alliance recognises the key role we play in PCG development."
