Coloplast Ltd is launching Compeed plasters for finger cracks (recommended retail price, 10 £3.69). The protective plaster prevents and treats all types of finger cracks, says Coloplast. The company says that the plaster absorbs moisture from the skin and forms a buffer which softens dry skin and creates optimum healing conditions. To achieve healing as quickly as possible, the cracks must be dry and without inflammation. People who are allergic to hydrocolloid bandages or have diabetes, inflammation or a fungal infection are advised to consult their doctor first.
