Professor A. D. Russell, FRPharmS, has been elected as a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology in recognition of his research in pharmaceutical and medicinal microbiology. Professor Russell, who is also a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, holds a personal chair in pharmaceutical microbiology at the Welsh school of pharmacy, University of Wales, Cardiff.
