Axis-Shield Axis-Shield Plc has has appointed Mr Svien Lien as chief executive officer and Mr David Evans as deputy chief executive officer.
Eurogene Dr Alan Boyd has been appointed as director of development at Eurogene Ltd. Dr Boyd was formerly head of medical research at Astra Zeneca Plc.
Smith & Nephew Mr John Robinson is to retire as chairman of Smith & Nephew Plc at the end of the year. He will be succeeded on January 1, 2000, by Mr Dudley Eustace who has joined the company as non-executive deputy chairman. Mr Eustace was formerly vice-chairman of Philips Electronics NV.
