The annual conference of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Agricultural and Veterinary Pharmacists Group was held in Milton Keynes on November 6 and 7. Steven Kayne reports
At the conference dinner, a presentation was made by Mr Andrew Cairns (group chairman) to Mr Douglas Davidson, of Blairgowrie, who had stepped down after chairing the group committee for 13 years. Mr Cairns paid a warm tribute to the work of Mr Davidson in promoting agricultural and veterinary pharmacy.
The group secretary, Ms Liz Griffiths, presented Mrs Avril Davidson with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of the support she had given to her husband.
Elections are due to take place for a new group committee early in 2000 and any pharmacists wishing to stand for election should contact the secretary, Liz Griffiths, at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's headquarters.
