Pharmacies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are shortly to receive 40 leaflets and 50 credit-card sized cards giving information on emergency contraception, along with a dispenser in which they can be displayed.
The leaflets will give information on a new progestogen-only product, which is to be licensed early next year. There will also be a briefing sheet for the profession.
In addition, pharmacies will receive posters to display giving details of pharmacy and general medical practice out-of-hours services for the holiday period, along with details of national medical helplines.
