Allergy Therapeutics Ltd has launched Pollinex Trees and Pollinex Grasses allergy vaccines for desensitisation to tree and grass pollen, respectively (net price, initial course 3 vials of ascending strength £80, extension course 1 vial £70). The vaccines are indicated for treatment of hay fever due to tree or grass pollen in patients who have failed to respond adequately to anti-allergy drugs, says the company. The company's allergen extracts, available as Allergy Diagnostic Solutions Series 1 (net price, £355.90) and Series 2 (net price, £323.90) kits for skin-prick testing, are also now available as selected individual vials (net price, £22). Each series contains a range of allergen extracts and a control. Each vial is sufficient for about 100 individual tests.
