Roche Products Ltd has revised the summaries of product characteristics for Madopar CR capsules 125 (levodopa 100mg, benserazide 25mg [as hydrochloride]), Neorecormon (epoetin beta) injection and Roaccutane (isotretinoin) 5 and 20mg capsules. The SPC for Madopar CR capsules has been changed to include gelatin in the list of excipients and the aluminium screw-cap has been replaced with a polypropylene cap. Four Neorecormon SPCs have replaced the existing ones and the instructions for use and handling have been removed from the Reco-pen SPC and can be found on a separate package insert. Under Roaccutane's special warnings and precaution section the guidelines have been extended to include avoiding dermabrasion and wax epilation in patients taking Roaccutane and for a period of five to six months after treatment. Roaccutane capsules should not be stored above 25C. The SPCs should be referred to for other changes.
