Ms Jo Barnes, MRPharmS, has been awarded a pass with distinction for the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine's certificate course in pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance. Ms Barnes is a research fellow at the centre for pharmacognosy and phytotherapy, School of Pharmacy, University of London.
Dr Brian Curwain, MRPharmS, has been co-opted onto the board of New Forest primary care group to which he is pharmaceutical adviser. He is also a member of the group's clinical governance team.
Professor John Midgley, FRPharmS, has had the title emeritus professor conferred upon him by the court of the University of Strathclyde. Professor Midgley retired from the chair in pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry at the university's school of pharmacy in August, 1999, a position he had held since 1984.
