Lloyds sells 115 Supersave drugstores

Gehe UK Plc, the parent company of Lloyds Pharmacy and AAH Pharmaceuticals, is to sell 115 Supersave Drugstores to Savers Health & Beauty Plc for an undisclosed sum, the company announced on January 10. The transfer of stores to Savers management is expected to take place at the rate of four to six per week and to be complete by the middle of the year.
Mr Michael Ward (chief executive, Gehe UK) said: "Over the past two years, considerable time and effort has been invested in Supersave and this has improved the the business performance of the stores. The decision to sell the Supersave outlets enables us to focus on our core pharmacy business".
