The Government has announced details of four further primary care trusts - two in Dorset and two in London - which are to be established from April, bringing the total number to 17. The new trusts are Poole Bay, Poole Central and North, Hillingdon, and Nelson.
Thirteen other first-wave trusts were announced earlier this month (PJ, January 15, p83).
More than 40 primary care groups have applied to become PCTs in October.
