The Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee is to open an office in Cardiff and has appointed a full-time secretary for the Welsh Central Pharmaceutical Committee.
Mrs Colleen Forse, MRPharmS, will take up the new position when the office opens on February 14. Mrs Forse has worked as a pharmacy contractor, a pharmacy manager, an inspector for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and a primary care pharmacist for Boots the Chemists. The new office will be responsible for administering the WCPC and handling general Welsh matters following the establishment of the National Assembly for Wales last year.
Contractors in Wales will continue to receive general advice from the PSNC on matters relating to negotiations, pricing and legal issues.
Other matters relating specifically to Wales should be directed to the Cardiff office, the PSNC says.
