Fresenius Kabi has launched a portable enteral feeding pump with an occlusion and dose alarm. The Frenta IV pump supersedes the Frenta III model. The company says that the alarm alerts the patient or helper in the event of a blockage in the delivery system and automatically cuts off the feed at the predetermined limit. The dose alarm gives audible and visual warning when the preset limit of the feed is reached.
