From Mr M. P. Smith, MRPharmS
SIR,—I read with interest the letter by Mr Phillips (PJ, January 22, p130). However, I was more interested by Mrs Helen Remington's reply.
I agree that education of pharmacy staff is important and have done my best to help pharmacists meet their commitment. I am concerned that it is proposed to replace professional judgment by rules and regulations. I am even more concerned that Mrs Remington believes that the Society should place patients before the interests of members. I, too, believe that patients should be served by the pharmacy profession. I do not see how this can be done if the profession ceases to exist!
