Health promotion

Campaigns for February, March and April

Set out below is a list of health promotion events for the first part of 2000. Information for the events was provided by the Health Education Authority (tel 020 7413 1995, www.hea.org.uk). The contact organisation for each event can provide further information and resources for display. The HEA and Pharmacy Healthcare Scheme can also provide leaflets for some of the events and, where they can, this is indicated.

February 1-29

February 14-18

Daffodil day Fund raising event organised by Marie Curie Cancer Care (no information resources available).

Mental health action week The Mental Health Foundation, 20/21 Cornwall Terrace, London NW1 4QL (tel 020 7535 7436). Posters and leaflets are available from the foundation covering a range of mental health conditions.


Health Education Authority leaflets can be obtained, free of charge, from local health authority health promotion units in England. Similar titles are available from health authorities/health boards in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
