Insulin needles and pens to be available on NHS

Reusable insulin pens and pen needles are to be prescribable on the National Health Service in England from March 1, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health (Lord Hunt) announced on February 9 (our Lobby correspondent writes).
The pens which are to be prescribable are Novo Nordisk's Novopen, Beckton Dickinson's BD Pen and Owen Mumford's Autopen. All insulin cartridges currently available will fit one or other of these pens.
