SIR,—With great interest I read the "Broad Spectrum" article "Managing internet printout syndrome" by John Wilson (PJ, February 12, p255). I agree that linklists are veins of gold and a good starting point for exploring the internet. Some colleagues have already realised the author's suggestion, that somebody should find out the most useful URLs for pharmacists. A lot of reasonable linklists related to all pharmacy subjects and disciplines have been worked out by enthusiastic pharmacists. Here are a few examples.
Ulrich Rothe's bookmark-file is a website compiled by a hospital pharmacist and can be considered one of the most comprehensive linklists related to pharmacy. It covers nearly everything from allergy to therapy guidelines, online journals, pharmacology or oncology (www.uni-regensburg.de/Einrichtungen/Klinikum/Apotheke/pharmacy.htm).
The linklist "Pharmacy continuing education sites around the world" is edited Dr David J. Temple, Welsh School of Pharmacy, Cardiff (www.cf.ac.uk/ uwcc/phrmy/WWW-WSP/Phrm CEsites.html).
There is a comprehensive navigator related to history of pharmacy (www.ubka.uni-karls ruhe.de/pharm/pharmaziegeschichte-e.html).
There is also a linklist made in particular for pharmacy students (www.abda.de/studenten/studlink.htm).
