Boehringer Ingelheim Dr Thomas Heil has been appointed as United Kingdom managing director at Boehringer Ingelheim. He was formerly head of the company's world-wide pharmaceutical business unit based in Germany. He succeeds Dr Patrick Knowlson, now chairman of Boehringer Ingelheim UK.
Pfizer Pfizer Ltd has appointed Mr Ivar Robinson as chairman and managing director of its United Kingdom business. Mr Robinson, who has worked for Pfizer since 1964, will retain his remit for the company's Nordic region as regional vice-president. He succeeds Mr Ken Moran who has been appointed regional vice-president for Europe, covering Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and Greece.
