Aventis Pasteur (MSD) has issued a reminder that travellers to Saudi Arabia for the annual Urma and Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca must be vaccinated against meningococcal meningitis A and C for entry into the country. A certificate of vaccination is required and must have been issued no more than three years, and not less than 10 days, before entry. The company says that travellers may also need other vaccinations such as hepatitis A or typhoid.
