Mr Andrew Scott-Clark, MRPharmS, recently graduated from St George's hospital medical school, London, with a master of science degree in public health. He took up the position of pharmaceutical adviser to Bromley health authority on February 28.
Mrs Kay Roberts, FRPharmS, has been appointed to the Scottish Advisory Committee on Drug Misuse. She will serve until December 31, 2002. The committee provides advice to ministers in the Scottish Executive. Mrs Roberts is area pharmacy specialist in drug misuse at Greater Glasgow Primary Care NHS trust.
Mr Nadeem Shah, MRPharmS, was recently awarded a master of science degree by Nottingham university. His thesis was on "Developing the role of the community pharmacy practitioner". Mr Shah presented the results of his study at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists conference in Orlando, Florida, United States, on December 5, 1999. Mr Shah was supported in his studies by his employers, H. I. Weldrick Ltd of Doncaster.
