SIR,-I have just read the reply from Mrs Susan Sharpe to the letter expressing "concern over batch number statements" (PJ, March 11, p402). In a perfect world we would indeed have patient pack dispensing, a patient leaflet in each box and batch number and expiry date on each strip of tablets. Nirvana has not, however, yet been reached and the anodyne reply to a real concern over best practice has done nothing to help pharmacists cope in the real world.
