Because of shortages of generic medicines, the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and the Scottish Pharmaceutical General Council are releasing lists of medicines for which contractors' endorsements of manufacturer and pack size will be accepted by the Prescription Pricing Authority and the Prescription Pricing Division.
The lists for prescriptions dispensed during March are given below. Additions to the list are shown in bold type.
Scotland Cinnarizine 15mg tablets; co-amilozide 2.5/25 tablets; co-trimoxazole 160/800mg tablets; imipramine 25mg tablets; indomethacin 25mg and 50mg capsules; metformin 500mg tablets; and trifluoperazine 5mg tablets.

England and Wales Hydrocortisone 1 per cent eye ointment (3g pack); ichthammol ointment BP 1980 (500g); indomethacin 50mg capsules (100).
