From Miss L. Martin
SIR,-What a complete overreaction by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society on the question of whether community pharmacists should dispense extemporaneous preparations in the light of the recent serious error with peppermint water (PJ, March 11, p390).
I am in the first year of my pharmacy degree. What about my extemporaneous dispensing classes? Will the experience they provide be redundant in four years' time?
And what about individualised patient care? Not every patient's needs fit the ready made market of medicines. And most of those patients will be living in the community.
