SIR,-On the court appearance of the pharmacist who stole compact discs from his employer (PJ, March 4, p366), he was fined and ordered to pay costs. On appearance before the Statutory Committee his name was ordered to be removed from the register. Compare this harsh treatment with the leniency meted out to an erring doctor appearing before the General Medical Council.
