More websites for pharmacies
Websites aimed at pharmacists are being launched all the time. The following is a selection which have been brought to the attention of The Journal.
- Epharma (www.epharma.co.uk) This site went live on March 20. Mr Umesh Chauhan, MRPharmS, (partner, Web Marketing Solutions) told The Journal that the site would offer pharmacists registered with it an opportunity to exchange short-dated stock and to see details of locum availability. There would also be an open forum for pharmacy discussions. The company was also undertaking design of websites for pharmacies.
- Thepharmacynet (www.thepharmacynet.com) This site goes live on April 3. Ms Louise Davies (partner, Thepharmacynet) told The Journal that the site would be a "one stop shop" for pharmacists working in all sectors of the profession. Planned developments for the site would include continuing professional development material, business-to-business e-commerce links and a consumer health site Getwellsoon.com (www.gwsoon.com) which was to to be launched at the end of May. Parallel professional sites were to be established for pharmacists, doctors, dentists, opticians and chiropodists.
- Henry Perlow (www.hpgroup.co.uk) This site was launched on March 15. It includes interactive links to the companies in the Henry Perlow group: Locumlink, Medilink Recruitment and the pharmacy business transfer division.
- Pharmalife appointments Pharmalife (www.pharmlife.co.uk), a business-to-business pharmacy portal (PJ, February 19, p287), has appointed Professor Alison Blenkinsopp (professor of the practice of pharmacy, Keele university), Mrs Susan Sharpe (professional standards director, Royal Pharmaceutical Society) and Mr Richard Jackson (vice-president for European health networks, IMS Health) as United Kingdom advisors.
