Swedish concordance

The professional organisations for doctors, nurses and pharmacists in Sweden have agreed concordance objectives for the improvement of medicines use by patients.
Three objectives have been agreed: (1) to see patients as partners who actively participate in treatment; (2) to ask patients about their experience of and attitudes to their diseases and treatment and to ensure that patients know why and how their medicines should be used; and (3) to see each of the three professions as partners.
