SIR,-It is not 50 years since the last new branch was created (PJ, March 25, p465) but about 25, when the South Staffordshire branch was formed, from parts of the North Staffordshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton branches.
I was the founder chairman of the new branch. It should be pointed out that that branch was also in the West Midlands region.
