Cow & Gate is launching Omneo Comfort 1 (in packs of 450g and 900g), a starting milk for use from birth to six months, and Omneo Comfort 2 (pack size 450g), a follow-on milk for infants aged six to 24 months (retail price, 450g £4.09, 900g £7.49). The company says that the infant milk formulas contain hydrolysed protein and reduced lactose for easy digestion, starch to reduce the risk of trapped air, and prebiotics for maintaining healthy gut flora and softer stool consistency. They are designed to help mothers manage minor digestive and feeding problems, such as colic, constipation and posseting. |

Milupa's Aptamil First, Aptamil Extra (retail price, 200ml each 59p) and Forward Follow On formula (retail price, 200ml 52p), all available in a "ready to feed" liquid formulation, will be available from mid May. Aptamil First and Extra contain two long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, arachidonic acid and docosahexaenoic acid, says the company.
