The West Midlands Co-operative Society Ltd has increased the size of its pharmacy group by more than 50 per cent following recent acquisitions.
The company has acquired four pharmacies from Tilley & Daniells, located at Dudley, Gornal Wood, Pensnett and Woodsetton. The latter is due to relocate into a new health centre this month. In addition, three pharmacies at Walsall have been purchased from Shelley Pharmacies along with a Lichpharm branch at Greenfield health centre, Lichfield. The purchases, which totalled £2m, bring the number of pharmacies operated by West Midlands Co-op to 22.
