MCA to end licence renewals?

The Medicines Control Agency is planning to end the requirement for manufacturers and wholesalers to renew their licences every five years.
Subject to consultation, legislation is to come into effect in December that replaces five-yearly licence renewals with continuous licensing subject to payment of annual fees.
Licence holders will remain subject to regular inspections by MCA inspectors.
