The Pharmacy Support Group has issued a challenge to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society to lead the profession.
Reporting to The Journal the PSG's conclusion that emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) should remain a prescription medicine, Mr Dinesh Patel (secretary, PSG) said in a statement on April 17: "It is disappointing that on such an important issue the Society is finding it difficult to show leadership [for the profession] and concern for women who are in a deep state of anxiety. Pharmacists everywhere are patients' champions. When will the Society understand that?"
