Novartis Pharmaceuticals's Foradil (eformoterol) is now licensed for use in children aged five years and above for treatment of reversible airways obstruction (including nocturnal asthma and prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm) requiring long-term regular bronchodilator therapy. The dosage is one capsule to be inhaled twice daily. For more severe cases, the dose may be increased to two capsules to be inhaled twice daily.
